Spray tans can be overwhelming at first, but this information sheet will explain everything you need to know about how to achieve the best possible results. Here is an overview of what to expect. There are many shades of darkness that can be achieved, and your technician can help you decide on the perfect shade. The spray tan solution is applied using an airbrush machine. The skin must be freshly washed and free and clear of all lotions, oils, deodorants. If there are oils on the skin, the solution will not process evenly. After the service has been completed, the solution must process for 8-12 hours. During processing time, you cannot get your skin wet with water or sweat. After processing is complete, you will shower off the solution and be ready to enjoy your tan! Spray tans can last up to two weeks with proper care.

Before

• Shower - Before coming in for your appointment, take a shower. For best results, use a PH balancing cleanser and avoid hydrating cleansers that might leave a residue on your skin.
• Exfoliate - Gently exfoliate the skin using a washcloth, loofa, exfoliating mitt or dry brush. Exfoliating the skin removes the dead skin cells leaving a smooth surface and a longer lasting tan.
• Shave - Shaving is not necessary. if you plan on shaving certain areas of your body, do this before your tan. Waxing can be done before, but it should be done at least 2-3 days before your tan. Waxing after receiving a spray tan will remove your tan.
• NO Products - Do NOT apply any lotions, deodorants, oils, etc prior to your appointment. The skin should be freshly washed with no other products on the skin. Ow Clothing - We ask that you dress down to your comfort level. Some people choose to wear a bathing suit, undergarments, or nothing at all. We ask that you wear dark colored items, because they could potentially get stained. If you accidentally wear something you do not want stained, just go home and wash them immediately, the stain will usually come out when washed the same day. Note: Whatever you choose to wear will leave lines in your tan in the shape of the clothing worn.
• Scheduling - The spray tan needs to process at least 8-12 hours to be effective. During this time, you cannot sweat or get your skin wet. Pick an appointment time that will allow you to stay dry the full time. 

During

Upon arrival, your technician will show you the spray tan room and tent. At this time you will be instructed to dress down to your comfort level. The technician will answer any questions you have and then she will leave the room allowing you to get ready.

Barrier Cream - In order to achieve the most natural looking airbrush spray tan, we use a barrier cream on certain dry areas of our body. We recommend applying this barrier cream to your elbows. knee caps, palms of hands/feet, in-between fingers/toes, and any other areas that might potentially be dry and flaky. These areas of our skin typically will absorb the spray tan too much leaving dark spots. The barrier cream prevents this from happening. The final step of getting ready is putting on your sticky shoes. These shoes stick to the bottom of your feet to prevent from stepping in the over spray from the solution. It is important to wear these shoes until your tan has completely dried and you are ready to get dressed.

When your technician enters the room, she will begin your spray tan. She will instruct you on how to stand. This part takes between 5-10 minutes. After you have been sprayed, you will wait for the solution to dry before getting dressed.

After

After you have received your spray tan, the solution needs to rest on your skin for 8-12 hours. If the solution gets wet, it stops processing. If you accidentally get your tan wet before your tan has processed, rinse it off immediately. If you have not reached 8 hours, it will not process as dark as planned. A spray tan will not be successful if it does not process without getting wet.

Hydrate - The key to a long lasting spray tan is hydration both inside and out. Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated. Apply a moisturizer 3 or more times a week.

Avoid exfoliation until your tan starts to fade or you are ready for your next tan. Come back and receive another spray tan every 2-3 weeks to keep your glow year round or come see us for all you special events. 

Monthly Memberships

These must be paid in full prior to both sessions. They are nonrefundable once paid for. You can get two or three per month each at a discounted rate. Check our brochure or online website to check for these pricing.

Spray Tan Party

A spray tan party must include a minimum of four girls including the host. The party can be at the salon or any location decided prior to the party. If travel is necessary for the party there many be a travel fee added on to the price of party. The host receives their spray tan for free, and the rest of the party receives for spray at the discounted rate of $30 per person. This is great for prom girls, weddings, bachelorette parties, or just for fun!
